1.On your desktop, double-click the
My Computer icon.
2.Double-click
Dial-up Networking icon.
3.Delete old connection that you no longer need by clicking on it once to highlight it and pressing the Delete key on your keyboard.
4.Double-click
Make New Connection icon.
5.Once the internet connection wizard comes up go ahead and click
Next.
6.In the
Type a name for the computer you are dialing text box,
type
Webpipe.Make sure that the wizard detects the proper modem that is install
on your computer.
7.Click
Next.
8.In the
Telephone number text box, type in your access number.
Click here.
9.In the
Country Code text box, make sure it has
United States of America.
10.Click
Next.
11.Click on the
Finish button.
(Windows Me users are done)
12.Once you are back into
Dial-Up Networking window, click on the
webpipe icon once to highlight it.
13.From the
File menu, select
Properties.
14.Once your
Webpipe Properties window opens you will see the following:
15.Click on the
Server Types Tab.
16.Uncheck
Log on to network.
17.Uncheck
Enable software compression.
18.Uncheck
Require encrypted password.
19.Uncheck
NetBEUI.
20.Uncheck
IPX/SPX Compatible.
21.The only check item should be
TCP/IP.
22.Click
OK and then
OK again to exit.
23.To connect:double-click on webpipe's icon
24.In the
Username and Password text box,
type in your Username and Password in the correct field.
(If you are dialing 428-3300 please use your full email address)
If webpipe does not become your default connection please check your settings.
