MacOS 8.0 set-up

   The following instruction is for MacOS 8.0 If you need any assistance with    your account please call us at (801) 498-7473.

   TCP/IP:
   

1.Go to the Apple Menu (top left corner), select Control Panels and TCP/IP
2.Select User Mode from the Edit menu.
3.Click Advanced
4.Click the OK button



5. In Connect via select PPP
6. In Configure select Using PPP Server
7. Look for Name Server Addr. in the bottom left corner and type:
205.244.47.6 205.244.47.8
8. To the right of Name Server Addr. you will see Additional Search domains: please change it to Webpipe.net


9.Close the TCP/IP Control Panel and save the changes.

   Remote Access:
   
1. Go to the Apple Menu (top left corner), select "Control Panels" and "Remote Access".
(If you are using System 8.0 or 8.1 it is called "PPP")
2.In the field labeled User name:, enter your Webpipe account name.
3.In the field labeled Password:, enter your password.
4. Check Save Password
5. Type the Webpipe modem number for your area.

Click here for access number.



6.Click Options.
7.Under the Redialing tab, choose Redial main number only
8.In Redial type 100
9.Click the Connection tab.



10.Check Use verbose logging
11. Click the Protocol tab.



12.Under Use protocol select PPP
13.Check Allow error correction and compression in modem
14.All other options should be unchecked.
15.Click OK and save changes.
When you are finished with the remaining configuration instructions,
clicking Connect in the bottom right corner will let you connect to the Internet.

   Modem:
   
1.Go to the Apple Menu (top left corner), select Control Panels and Modem.
2.In Connect via: select Modem Port
3.In Modem: select the modem you have from the list.
If you have an iMac, iMac Internal 56k should already be selected.



   Internet:
   
1. Go to the Apple Menu (top left corner), select Control Panels and Internet.
2. Click the Personal tab.
3. Type your real name, if you want.
4. Type your Webpipe email address (accountname@Webpipe.net)



5.Click the E-mail tab.



6.Type your Webpipe account name (do NOT type @webpipe.net)
7.Type mail.webpipe.net for the mail server.
8.Type your password.
9.Type webpipe.net for the SMTP server.
10.At the bottom of the window, select your preferred E-mail Application.



11.Close the window and save the changes.

You are now ready to be connect to Webpipe.
